Aside from a few decent years, our women's basketball program has been in decline since her departure!

There used to be a student who would dress up as a "mini me" of Coach Portland at the women's BB games. It was great, as she would stand there in her business suit with her arms folded just like Rene, but about a foot shorter. Anyone remember her?

I was a fan. I understand the reason for departure and will not rehash that here. I met Rene on a couple of occasions and she was very gracious. I wish her well.
