I suspect CJF will look at this season in his rear-view mirror and decide to make some coaching changes.Of course, he just might chalk it up to newer coaches learning the ropes. But I doubt it. He knows we have to get better, faster, and eliminating the round-robin of mistakes is objective #1.
But in real time, on a game by game basis, he HAS to be scratching his head, as our bloopers move from O to D to STs , and then around again and again.
Coaching stability is important - so IMO change for the sake of change tends to be counterproductive.. OTOH, all the experience in the world - and the ability to coach up players in anticipation of what can happen - such as UMs crew at OSU, still produces a shaky D and the lack of the expected run game. So go figure.
I subscribe that CJFs coaching losses over the past couple of years have hurt us quite a bit - as evidenced by our erratic play in all areas of the game.
