Seems refs have more discretion than I understood.

that's been the case all season. Incidental contact, especially if a hand is blocked into the face, has not been called during the season. The exception (there are always caveats and exceptions) is what the wrestler does in this situation. If they don't remove their hand from the face, and use it to push for some time in the face, then it doesn't matter how the hand got there, the call will be made.

I sure hope we aren't talking about a hands to the face determining a semi final or finals match.

The only thing worse would be a hands to the face challenge deciding a match on Friday night or Saturday night.

Fortunately Tan Tom will have exhausted his challenge bricks long before then.

From my seats in Minneapolis over 3 & 4 mats, there were actually very few “hands to the face” calls.

The 125 title match had the two everyone talked about, but I can’t remember more than 1 called all day Saturday in all the matches.

Yes, with a pic from his phone "proving" what happened at full speed.

Or he might wait until he lands in Aruba on Monday.
Did you see him toying with his phone a few seconds after Bo took down Moore the first time Sunday? Any guesses what that was? Maybe he won a bet ... ?
