Penn St
Gone: Gaia OC Sr; Schwan DE Sr; Golden S Sr
Very possible: Sickels DE Jr; Godwin WR Jr; Allen S Jr
Not likely: Hamilton WR (seems to have faded from the offense)
Confirmed return: Gesicki TE Jr; Cabinda LB Jr
My guess, we lose 5 starters but hey, we are getting some back from injury as well

Ohio St
Gone: Elflein OC Sr; Hooker S RsSoph; Conley CB RsJr
Very possible according to ESPN: Samuel RB Jr; Baugh TE RsJr; Lewis DE RsJr; Hubbard DE RsJr; McMillan LB Jr; Latimore CB RsSoph

They have some other Jr starters that could go in the draft not mentioned including 2 OL but I doubt that they are as likely.

My guess, they lose 7 or 8 starters total mostly on defense.

Michigan
I'm just going to list who they actually return :D
Speight QB Jr; Cole OC Jr (speculation he could declare); Bredesen LG Fr; Perry WR/Slot Soph Hurst DL RsJr (may still declare); McCray LB RsJr (may declare) and Peppers only if he loses his mind
I may have missed a couple because of how they list eligibility so feel free to update this

Mich St
Gone: McDowell has declared; OG Allen and S Nicholson may as well. But they have at least 7 others that are out of eligibility.

Iowa
Vandeberg's medical hardship was approved so he should return. RB Wadley could bolt. Daniels RB and 2 OL should be gone. I think King and both DT starters are gone.

Nebraska
Doesn't lose too much. About on par with what we lose.

Pitt
Loses their QB, 2 OL, TE, Connor, DE Price, maybe a DT, a couple LBs, a few in the secondary

Bottom line is that I think PSU will return more difference makers than just about any team that we face in 2017. Granted Ohio St and Mich have some 4 and 5 star backups and newbies to plug in but for the first time in a long time, we will not have a huge gap in experience against our opponents.

OSU fan here. As far as early departures:
Hooker S
Conley CB
Lattimore CB
McMillian MLB
Lewis DE

Probably coming back:
Hubbard DE (confirmed)
Price OG (confirmed)
JT Barrett QB
Samuel RB/WR
Baugh TE

Michigan also returns OL Newsome, who started as a freshman last year and was hurt this year
also, Perry has some legal issues

You're missing PSU's biggest Senior loss (by far).......BBell

Sophomore last year. [.EDIT - sorry, I was confused by the wording of your OP (bottom line 2017 will be his JR year).]....but, yes, kid is a beast

Biggest recruiting disappointment (there haven't been many) during CJF's tenure - IMO

They'll move Samuel to running back. Write that down.

Not sure why you're so certain Sickels and Allen will leave early.

Yes, they might, but calling it a lock is a bit of a stretch.

And why does everyone think Hamilton will transfer? Guy bleeds blue and white, had a number of big catches in the CCG.

No clue what that means. What I DO know is that you're new offensive coaches aren't going to like the production you are getting from Weber.
That assumes Samuel doesn't go to the NFL, although tea leaves seem to be pointing to him staying for another year. Weber has been inconsistent, but if the passing game improves, that may (magically) result in a more consistent running game.

WRT Michigan:

1 - Peppers is gone
2 - Bredeson only played for Newsome after he (Newsome) got hurt ......though he may be in contention for one of the other open spots in 2017
3 - Perry was very lightly used back up behind Darboh and Chesson
4 - Hurst was also a back up at DT, though I think he has said he plans to be back, and will likely be expected to earn a starting role in 2017
