Not that I'm really worried about Bo....but I'd hoped to see Martin on the other side of the bracket. Martin/Dudley quarter is brutal!

Those are B1$ championship winning seeds. Surely banter on the boards will ensue at 141 & 174

PS- Roar...tip of the cap Sir.

Thanks dunk, though I'm sure it was close, and could easily have gone other ways...Jimmy would have earned his way, regardless...which is the bigger story.

Jimmy, Jason, Mark, and Bo all get 1st Round byes...hurts in the Bonus Point Department...only reason I mention it. Win their 2nd Round match, and they get the free Advancement Point, which they were sure to get anyway if they had a 1st Round match.

Of the potential PSU matchups we haven't seen this season, Gulibon-Gasca is most interesting.

Love PSU's seeds.

Jimmy & Hall have very manageable paths to conference finals.

No surprises to hurt PSU anywhere. But our guys earned it all year.

When will we know about other byes (i.e. Suriano) - Friday?

Wow. That last second reversal Cenzo gave up to Jordan was a killer.

Since these 4 will be the top 4 at nationals, Cenzo really needs to win the 3rd place match here so that he's opposite IMAR at nationals. (assuming he doesn't beat IMAR here of course) That would allow him a decent path to the finals.

Question...as we have all been discussing Suriano (and the assumption that he will wrestle 1 match then MFF out). If he gets a 1st round bye - does that count as wrestling in a match? Could he accept the bye, then MFF out? That way - he puts no stress on the ankle at all...
really hope/prefer he is good to go; but, if not - is this possible...or, does he have to step on the mat against an opponent?

No. Bye insufficient.

Pretty happy with all of this, if they hold...and if Suriano can go.

I want nothing but the best for Jimmy Gulibon. Third period Jimmy Gulibon is a national champ, in my opinion. Still, I think he got a gift for a seed, here. Not complaining, but I never would've guessed that he'd be the 2, here, after his season.

Looking at the head to head of the 2-6 seeds it looks like he is deserving. Only lost to Nebraska and beat Thorn Plercher and Carton.

any chance Carpenter goes at 125?
Highly unlikely. NCAA rules are (1) be certified at 125; (2) weigh at/below 125 on 2/15. He wrestled 133 vs. Brock in Stallwater on 2/19. Chances are pretty good he wasn't cutting to 125 at the time.

It was pretty obvious that Jackson/Brooks would be 2/3 in some order and that Martin/Dudley would be 4/5 in some order.

Everyone knows he pinned Hail twice in the same match which may have helped too....No but Jimmy is wrestling on a whole other level...He knows he is coming to the end and putting his heart on the line each match !!!! He will be high us on the podium this year.....I think he can win Big Tens right now !!!! Very confident....

Big Ten Seeds are based mostly on Big Ten Matches. JG beat Thorn, Pletcher, Carton.... He lost to Ashnault(clear 1) and McCrystal. McCrystal beat Thorn, but lost to Pletcher and Carton. So I think it comes down to JG beat two B10 guys McCrystal lost to and then JG beat Thorn to get to 2. Doesn't mean it can't change.

I must be Nostradamus then as I called it last week... Jimmy only had 1 loss to a B1G Wrestler other than #1 Ashnault - to McCrystal (Ashnault was undefeated against B1G wrestlers). Thorn, Pletcher and McCrystal all had at least two losses outside of Ashnault against B1G opponents. IOW, Jimmy went 3-1 against Thorn, Pletcher, Carton and McCrystal, while Thorn, Pletcher and McCrystal went 2-2 at best against the group (i.e., Gulibon, Thorn, McCrystal, Pletcher and Carton) - Thorn and McCrystal went 2-2 versus the group, Pletcher went 1-2 versus the group (also lost to Ashnault) and Carton went 1-3 versus the chase group.

Seedings are great. Now time ti scrap. The best time of the year on deck.
