Pre-Seeds Announced

Law has the better chance to win guys....Yes Carpender will not give up the pin but dual meets are over....Triston beats him every time in wrestle offs !!!!
I'm missing something here, if Triston wins in the wrestle offs why did he not wrestle more during the season? Didn't Cael want the best wrestler on the mat?

Law didn't earn the opportunity during the season. He then won a wrestle off and earned the right to represent the team now. That's what Cael preaches and as it should be. If a guy can't become a starter after November, what is the point of grinding every day in Jan and Feb.

Understand that but statement was "Triston beats him every time in wrestle offs !!!!". Maybe I assumed wrong that meant through out the year not just after the season.

Everyone knows he pinned Hail twice in the same match which may have helped too....No but Jimmy is wrestling on a whole other level...He knows he is coming to the end and putting his heart on the line each match !!!! He will be high us on the podium this year.....I think he can win Big Tens right now !!!! Very confident....
Good to hear about Jimmy's confidence. You don't plan on talking to Jimmy at practice are you?

Big Ten Network. With Tim "Hawkeye" Johnson and Jim "Hips to the party" Gibbons on the call.

Tip: Get a radio with delay, sync it up, and turn down the volume and listen to Jeff. He is nationally recognized as the best wrestling play by play man in the nation.

Thanks Holmes!

Cael mentioned that Triston had to get down to the weight class. Apparently he had been at 149.

I think Carpenter's ability to keep from getting pinned was an advantage in duals. Law got stuck a couple of times.

Wow. That last second reversal Cenzo gave up to Jordan was a killer.
Here is how I think about it. It's great to be on the other side of the bracket to keep advancing. However, in the NCAA tournament, I'd much rather have IMar in the semis than the finals. Here's why... the nation is watching and all the lights are on. He is such a talented wrestler, he's going to bring his A game. Also, it allows for more time if a weight cut was tough. You can catch him having a mental lapse earlier in the tournament than in the finals. If you can't beat him in the semis, you can't beat him in the finals.

Here we have a very good point. The best time to catch Imar is in the semi's. He damn near lost last year at Nationals in the semis, and needed to do his flopping to avoid being beaten. He should have been beaten, in fact.

I am very comfortable with Cenzo in the 4 seed at nationals, if it happens that way.

It won't though, he will either beat Imar on Saturday night, or beat Isaac on Sunday.

Law started the season at 141 and only started to move down when Cortez was hurt. Cael said he wanted to give him time to get his weight management under control, hence the late wrestleoff. I have no insight into whether or not he was winning in the room everyday...

I agree Imar was vulnerable on sat night when he was at 157, I am not sure the weight cut will affect him same now that he is at 165. Cenzo has proven he can roll with Imar and give him all he can handle. I look forward to him getting another shot, lets hope another PSU wrestler can hand the phenom his second loss!!

We know how to beat him. He's had to resort to the throw-by now, in two consecutive matches against us. That's all he has left against us. Stop that, and I think Cenzo gets him, either this weekend, or in 2 weeks in the semi's.
