I feel the “Sebolt is the best club” mantra is going to turn into one of our better memes
I think its fair to say, that Iowa wrestling hasnt had the consistent depth of PA, OH, CA, NJ for awhile. IA HS wrestling is on a cyclical upswing, but lasting power remains to be seen. Yes their fargo results are great....but so are Illinois annually....
until IA starts letting their HS teams leave in season for the big tournaments, well never truely know their quality at the HS level. What they put into D1 ....well we can see that easily.
In conclusion this may just be the next in a great long line of tHR memes
I mean how good would SLee be had he grew up in iowa and had a place to train like Seabolt.......
Might be a few eye openers like when JO wrestled McDonough in some all star thing. JO looked like he was drilling for 2 periods. At least McDonough did perform in college
