Who will have the better NCAA career among Bassett, Blaze, Duke and Forrest?

Can’t figure out the best thread in which to post this, but I was thinking about all the 4x AAs that don’t win a championship. And then I thought “Penn State has none of those”. If you’re good enough to AA as a freshman, PSU coaches will make you a national champ. If you’re good enough to be a NQ as a freshman, PSU will make you an AA.

Long was a FR finalist at Iowa State under Cael, but sabotaged his chances of becoming a champ.

Beard and Nagao both placed as FR, but each DNP one year and are at risk of not winning a title.

Here is the list of FR AAs to compete at PSU under Cael, with their FR placement -- feel free to add if I missed anyone:
- Long -- 2nd (at Iowa State, under Cael)
- Molinaro -- 8th (under Sunderland)
- Wright -- 6th (under Sunderland)
- Nico -- 2nd
- Ruth -- 3rd
- Taylor -- 2nd
- Nolf -- 2nd
- Nickal -- 2nd
- Zain -- 5th
- Cenzo -- 1st
- Hall -- 1st
- RBY -- 8th
- Lee -- 5th
- Dean -- 8th (at Cornell)
- Carter -- 1st
- Brooks -- 1st
- Beard -- 7th (DNP in 2023)
- Kerk -- 7th
- Levi -- 2nd
- Van Ness -- 3rd
- Kasak -- 3rd
- Nagao -- 5th (at Minny; DNP in 2024)
- Mesenbrink -- 2nd

I think that's everyone ... so far. Add Lilledahl and Barr in 2 months.

Didn’t Dylan Alton take 3rd as a RsFrosh?

Great list. Only Long and Beard didn’t become NC. Neither exhausted their eligibility under Cael. Won’t comment on Long for obvious reasons. Beard was dead even in the room with the national champ as they battled for the roster spot before he transferred. As for Alton, injuries derailed his career.
