I don't wanna hear anybody bitch about DB recruits..We have more DB's on this team that can ball then the past 6 teams combined. IF the staff likes a DB and offers, there is real good chance these kids turn out better than even half of our hire-rated past kid like Timmons and King did. We were an epic fail at QB and DB despite playing solid football under Joe.. and BOB did us no favors at all at DB.
I feel that staff's exposure to the deep south makes them better athlete evaluators. If you watch 60 DB's from the northeast and simply take the best, you might not realize that maybe 10 of those 60 DB's would make a top 60 list in Texas or Florida/Georgia. Coaching in the northeast can make you a bit myopic.-sg
