PSU doesn't have a running back ranked in the top 200 for yardage.

And spread, no huddle offenses…not the plodding, straight ahead offenses of Iowa, Wiscy and Joe that some of our fans long for. Plus, and here’s a news flash for you, a higher percentage of four and five stars make the NFL and those two programs have the most of those…I know, shocking.
You mean the Joe who coached the first team to win a National Championship with more passing yards than running yards? Or the Joe that coached tbe greatest offense in CFB history? That Joe?

I think having Lee slim down this year was a mistake. He is a physical runner. That’s his game and slimming him down only takes away from what he does best.

Yep, that Joe….I watched almost every game from the early 70’s and on and I didn’t see this passing, offensive juggernaut you describe ever until 1994 and a year here and there afterwards….and in those years (other than 94) that passing offense disappeared against the likes of Ohio State, Michigan and Iowa. Don’t use two out of 47 years as your baseline argument, it’s weak.

He’s listed at 239 this year. He slimmed down from 230 last year.

You must be a lot more observant than I am.

If that is the case, how did the running game fare?
He has gone under center this year. As to how the running game fared....have you seen our running game? It doesn't matter if he's under center or not. It sucks.

It would all boil down to what you consider a passing jugernaut and how you would compare it to now and say the 1970's.
It thought the Fusina years in '77 and '78 were pretty good and lets not forget '82. First team to win a NC while leading in passing not rushing. I also thought the D. Clark years were pretty good.

Except against OSU, Michigan and Iowa. Scored a lot against Michigan Clark’s senior year, but went back to his usual style against those teams the rest of the games.
