Interesting that he does not have Gesicki in his Top 50. He has two other TEs, one from USCe (#38) and one from South Dakota State (#47). Both of these guys he notes are good blockers as well as pass receivers.
Kiper and McShay have Gesicki in their top 3 or 4 at TE.
Mayock likes Gesicki, calling him a matchup nightmare like Zack Ertz, as per his Senior Bowl observations. No ranking though.
No other PSU prospects mentioned as Day 1 or Day 2 probables.
Sounds like Gesicki might be a late Day 2 or a Day 3 pick. Read through some Draft grades that had his route running as average, and his blocking as below average; but rate his athleticism and pass catching as above average. From an NFL perspective perhaps a bit of a project at TE(?); especially given the concerns raised on this board regarding his blocking. Thoughts?
