Well, he tried, but Ayala shut his entire offense down with the knee.
Ayala sat on his knee the whole match. Only got called for stalling once.
Not surprised by the result, surprised by the lack of action. Ayala seemed content to defend after he got the takedown.
No shame there Baby Face. A lot to build on..

Absolutely textbook match showing why 3 point takedown creates less action. Ayala had no fear of getting dinged late cuz it would have taken 3 stall calls to matter
It amazes me they allow that. So boring.
Figure the Iowa fans would cheer for their guy stalling. I like Davis next time around.
That might not be the outcome we wanted but he'll never lose to him again. All he has to do is avoid that throw-by and Ayala has nothing.
At what point did Davis come close to touching the leg though? lol
Ayala did his best Mason Beckman impersonation. Also Davis let him get away with it. Davis was the more active but not by a whole lot, and didn't really start pushing the pace until the last 30 sec.
What has happened to Drakes left side single? He used to be deadly with it but I barely see him shoot it at all anymore

drake’s approach made him impossible to score on but i also think he limited himself by doing it like rby did imo.
You might be right. After a shoulder injury you lose confidence in it so probably is scared to put himself in certain positions. Sucks though because it was his best attack by far

This ref is brutal - waits for 30 seconds to call stalling on Ayala who took zero shots and stalled 90% of the match. Now we have a "stalemate" when Shreiver is belied out Negao has boots in... attempting to turn Shriever and Sheiever is doing nothing but playing with Negao's hands??? LMAO
