PSU Men's TFXC are Big Ten Outdoor Champions

First B1G T&F/CC hampionship for the men's team. The women finished third.

HC John Gondak: "It’s been a fantastic year, our women finished second in cross country and won indoors and we finished third today, to be top-three during all-three seasons is outstanding. Our men were second indoors and first outdoors so both programs are in a great spot right now and we have some outstanding recruits coming in… the future is really bright!”

Congrats to the squads and the coaches. Gondak was Sandy's first head coaching hire, although it was a promotion as Gondak was associate head coach when Beth Alford-Sullivan left for Tennessee.

Watched it last night on BTN. Moffet, who won the long jump, ran an unbelievable 200 meters for the win. In the final mens event, Isiah Harris came from fourth or fifth place in the 4 x 400 relay to win silver. Some very exciting races for sure.

Yeah, really impressed with PSU sprinters. Got a 2nd and 4th in 100m, and 1st and 3rd in 200, with Moffett in a very impressive 19.87 (and Moffett also bettered 26 feet in winning the long jump -- he's a major talent). Unfortunately a DQ in 4 x 100 men's relay.

Between the track team and some of the current football players, there's some serious Northern speed at PSU. ;)
