PSU National Champions Wall

Pretty soon, the champs are gonna say things like, “I’m on the West wall, third level up, twelfth from left.”
It's got to be a rush, heavy stress and motivating to have your pic on the wall with eligibility left.
Yep, Nick Lee with 1 year, RBY with 2 years, Brooks with 3 years and Carter with 4 years so Brooks is the first PSU 4x NCAA Champ (and 5x BIG Champ) and Carter is the first PSU 5x NCAA Champ. I know, getting a little ahead of myself but who knows, it could happen.
Actually, Carter would be the first 4x NCAA champ unless the finals were rearranged that year.
Hopefully we can still have that quibble in a few years.

If I had to bet how many our current champs end their careers with, I’d go with Roman 2, Brooks 4, Carter 3, Nick Lee 1 . How many would Yinz predict reasonably?
I agree with all except I think Nick has a really good chance for his 2nd
^this. Nick is very impressive with his continued improvement that is showing no signs of leveling-off. I believe by BigTens next March he’ll be the one

I would love it if Eierman beats him again at Big Tens then loses it at NCAAs yet again. Nick 0x Big Ten Champion, 2x NCAA Champion.
I'd love it if Nick goes undefeated and Eierman loses in the round of 16 at NCAAs.
I’d love it if Eierman wins BINGO at the senior center and gets too fat from the Denny’s senior-discount celebration dinner and talks to Kevin Jackson and misses weight at NCAAs and throws a chair and earns a total negative one point for Iowa.
I’d love if Eierman gets detained at the airport going to NCAAs for aesthetically offensive tattoo art and is held in a holding cell for a week
He actually looked like he could get upset this year in R16 ... IIRC, it was 5-3 and Cole Matthews was close to finishing a shot at the end. Then he came back and pinned his QF and SF match.

Just speculation but after it was leaked Joe is going 157 ... if Nick was going 149, that would have been leaked also. Not saying it's impossible, smoke says he's definitely staying 141. If that's what Nick wants then that's what will happen.

HoosierLion has said along that Nick is staying at 141 and I for one believe him.
Nick Lee had a pretty good 2021…….others get to wrestle around him. He is out back chopping wood right now
I don't think eirman ever keeps up after the last match. He peaked nick keeps getting better
Eirman does not make the finals this year I think him and kemmerer are getting too old for this young man's game lol. Kidding of course about the game but not him missing the finals
Don't want to make any predictions about anyone burning out per se but having talked to a few people who are in some of the best Division 1 wrestling rooms, I can confirm burnout is a very real thing if that's what you're implying. Wrestling is not an easy grind and even some people standing on the top of the podium don't enjoy the sport but they're so talented they can make it work. That's why the "Have Fun" mantra is important to us as much as others want to joke about it.
Idk about that, they were as evenly matched as can be both matches. A 1 point match (decided by RT) and a SV match. The key is if Eierman can get a counter TD against Nick and ride out.

WE peak at Nationals, THAT is the key. The rest is just practice.
