Since Togs is so slow to live up to his bet with a pic, the coaches took pity on him, and threw Okla. St. a bone. ;)

I honestly think second is a bit nuts. Granted, this Penn State team will be good (I think they'll be a spot higher than the coaches' poll picks them by season's end), but unproven, particularly from a dual perspective.

My ballot would have been (at least for the top six):

1. Oklahoma State
2. Missouri
3. Virginia Tech
4. Penn State
5. Ohio State
6. Iowa

I don't disagree with that POV. Picking PSU 2nd at this point, when Suriano, Cortez, and Joseph are new to the lineup, Nevills is nearly new to the lineup, and 174, 184, and 197 are still in flux is a bit of a leap of faith.

Then again, there are questions with almost every college lineup.

The PSU ranking seems to be a combo of how well people think Suriano, Cortez, and Joseph will do, how many bonus points some of the returning big guns will score, and PSU's track recover over 5 of the last 6 years.

You didn't get the memo from the Iowa wrestling board. Cael can recruit elite talent, but developing kids is an unknown since the kids Cael recruits are so good they would succeed anywhere.
Yes, and using that "sound" logic, Notre Dame and Texas should win the NCAAF championship every year, but....
