PSU sues goPSURv.com for trademark infringement

Unless they have changed the website substantially since the lawsuit... I see no similarities and no way anyone would confuse it for a real psu website

A) as much as I loathe how my alma mater conducts itself sometimes, defending one’s ™ is instrumental in keeping one’s ™

B) should the action come as a surprise - whomever chose that name for their enterprise is a moron ...
I think the same issue comes up when a big school sues a high school for using their logo. The issue is not so much that the school is upset about BFE High using their logo, it is that if they do not defend the logo, they can't then turn around and sue Reebok (or whoever) if they are using unlicensed merch. Maybe a lawyer can explain that better than I did.

I have no problem with this. It's the University brand, and belongs to them. If you let this guy do it, others will also. Then, you cannot stop it.

In 1987, I did a bar tour and designed t-shirts with the logo and "Penn State" on them. The printer called me and said that they couldn't print that, because they, along with me, would get sued by the University. I didn't get it then, but I certainly do now.

I belong to a professional association, and we had to sue an entity from using our logo and stating they were connected to us. They acquiesced.

Should I stay away from campus police while wearing my Happy Valley hoodie purchased at the Big Blue on the Corner?
