Coach Smith announced that OSU is wrestling Penn State. Per a poster on their site. Take if for what it's worth.

Mknox... It's a one off dual pitting the best of the rest teams NOT in the BIG Ten against the #1 team in the country... which of course is Penn State. It's Oklahoma State vs Penn State in Rec Hall next weekend for a one off dual. What it proves... I don't know. The young men on the team wrestle another dual against a quality opponent. I'd rather do without the match and have the team prepare for Big Ten's and the NCAA Tourney.
Am I going... of course.
TV/WEBCAST: Championship match will be shown live on the Big Ten Network. The other 7 dual matches will be shown on BTN2GO
Good note to add... Sullivan. Tim Johnson and Jim Gibbons were advertising what you mentioned during the Purdue vs Rutgers match. Iowa in their scenario could wrestle Missouri.

Thanks, so one match and that's it? I would agree to comments about what it really proves, but on the other hand, a quality opponent is fine by me - a good "tune up" to the upcoming tournament season.
Yes... it's one match. Nothing more after that. It's a one off dual.
Next weekend is two weekends short of B1Gs. We may have been wrestling somebody (michigan st?) even without the Xtra match.
I like the idea. People are talking about it, it is a single match against a high quality opponent that we did not wrestle this year, kinda. We did get to see Okie State at the Scuffle. I would have preferred NCST.
I like that it isn't a meat grinder tourney 2, 3 or even 4 weeks short of the post season.
Anyhow, see everybody one more time next week. Oklahoma State always wrestles the Lions tough.
