PSU well represented on NFL rosters

How many are starters? Back ups? Practice squad?

Don't believe any of them are on the Practice Squad for any of b1g teams listed. This is only players on the Active 53-Man Roster of an NFL Team for Opening Week. PSU and O$U are tied atop b1g with 25 players each.

And the individual most responsible for putting them there is ....in Colorado Springs.

Oh, you mean the guy FLO fired a month before he left (knowing full well he was leaving trying to cause as much disruption as possible) because his FOF (Friend of FLO) suck@ss DC was jealous that he was a far better coach than him??? That guy - the one your boy, FLO, treated like crap and tried to harm his family??? Too funny.

Say what you will, but that pretty much covers the last decade of talent. To be equal with O$U is very surprising especially considering the program was descending and O$U was ascending the last 4-5 years.

Before the bot went batshit crazy, PSU was ascending and OSU was descending. PSU was consistently winning battles for their top targets, getting the 'higher rated' recruiting classes, putting more OL into the NFL (I know, shocking), etc. etc. OSU was busy firing their coach, getting hit with sanctions, vacating titles, etc. Meyer was also strongly rumored to be the replacement for Joe. There's a reason why teams couldn't wait to raid PSU's recruiting class and roster for all the young talent. I wonder if any of the transfers are on any NFL rosters?

Now that the final cutdowns are in and rosters are finalized, we are seeing threads like this on every school's Board. The Cal board just published a list showing that we have 26 players on current NFL rosters. While it may seem improbable (read: impossible) that a school like Cal would have more alums in the NFL than PSU or tOSU, it demonstrates (to Cal alums) why our football program is consistently rated one of the most underperfoming programs in college football. Here's the list, in case anyone here finds my numbers hard to credit (something I would understand):

It's also interesting that Jared Goff gets no national recognition . Fellow Nit fans take a look at Goff's numbers.
Junior 3rd year starter. Year one Cal is 1 & 11. Goff , as a true frosh has 18 tds and 10 ints.
Year 2 Cal's record 5 & 7 Goff's season 35 TDs 7 Int. Hack may not throw 35 TDs over the next 2 seasons , presuming he stays..

All this talk of Hack being the number 1 QB in 2016 draft. I think Goff may have moved into the no 1 spot.

Thank you NorCalcLion. That was gracious of you. Although some PSU alums might recoil at the notion, I actually see a few parallels between PSU and Cal right now. Young teams (they were two of the youngest teams in Division 1 last season, and still loaded with underclassmen), high profile QB's, a young and developing OL, and high hopes going into this season. I am encouraged by what I saw in Cal's first game against Grambling (admittedly a weak opponent), and still very hopeful for PSU this season. I smell a beatdown of Buffalo this Saturday, and some real energy coming into the Rutgers game. Cal hosts San Diego State this coming Saturday, a team which will travel to Happy Valley in three weeks. I will be watching the Cal-SDSU game closely, and hope to have a useful comment or two to share about the Aztecs as their game with the Lions approaches.
