playing NW, who they've had all kinds of trouble with over the past several years, but who they defeated 2 weeks ago.
just got to halftime, and PSU has the lead, 8-6.

I, and I'm certain I speak for most on this board, do so very much appreciate your work to keep us informed of these many games. We don't express our appreciation often and vociferous enough. Many thanks!!!
The later news is certainly bigger than the former. Good luck to her.Congrats girls.
MD and OSU are tied at 4 in the first half.
In other lacrosse news my 10 year old daughter is getting the start in goal for the U15 girls team tomorrow. I think it was all the practice she had taking shots at our tailgate at the B/W game.

My numbers are correct. She knows that if she saves %50, that she is doing a great job. She is also very well protected, padding from the ankles to the head. I know that most goalies dont use leg protection and that is silly. (Did you ever get hit in the shin?)Assuming your numbers are correct, that's pretty darn impressive. Not many 10-year-olds can compete with 14/15-year-olds. Goalie is a particularly difficult position in LAX. They don't have a lot of protection, and the ball comes at them pretty fast and pretty hard. If I remember correctly, U-15 is the last year in girl's LAX where if a shooter's stick enters the goal circle cylinder on a followthrough, it's a goal circle violation.
Best of luck to your daughter. Win, lose, or draw, I hope for her sake, and for your sake, that you'll only focus on the positive things she did during her performance when you talk with her after the game.
Nothing like the feeling of joy in watching your child excel. Congrats to you both!Update!!
On the car ride to Marywood University, my daughter was a little nervous with anticipation. I receive a call from the coach of the u15 team and he tells me that he is starting another goalie for the game. But, since my kid was coming to the game, would she like to play a little attack? With excitement from the back seat she yelled "SURE"
So she was able to play one series with the u15 and manufactured an assist to a girl crashing the net. They won 13-4
She was able to play in goal for the U13 team. They had about 10 shots on goal and she saved 8, which is a fantastic save %. At her age the coach said 50-60% is great. She also had a 100% clear rate. They won 15-2.
