It's worth noting that it's very often the case that headlines are written by editors and that the writers often have no say in the matter. Editors and writers' intentions aren't always the same, and editors tend to know less about the particular subject at hand than the writer. So quite often there's a disconnect between the headline and the article. Both writers and editors want the story to be widely read by audiences that don't already know all the facts (see, e.g., this board), but editors are more aware of what headlines get the most views, and they're guided accordingly. This discrepancy happens a lot, and it's good practice to refrain from instinctively blaming the writer for a claim in the headline.
That all said, it's the writer here who uses the same "slight scare" language in the lede, so the editor can't really be faulted for lifting it into the headline. It's nitpicking, sure, because the writer otherwise does a decent job. You can sense he's not a full-time wrestling fan, but he knows more than a lot of writers assigned to the same beat.
