He wouldn’t be practicing if it were football-related, and we would have heard about discipline matters through the media and court system if it were disciplinary-related. I am actually surprised they say anything. It really is only something that the football team (players and coaches) need information on. If I were in Franklin's position, the media would get nothing out of me as far as injuries or why players weren't playing.

I think he means that Beamon could tell people what happened (his decision vs medical vs academics vs doghouse vs ???) if he wanted to. I suspect he will not say anything, but I don't blame him.
