Dibble could throw some heat and yes I am a Reds fan!Dan Patrick and Rob Dibble had some funny moments. Dibble got fired because of some of his blunt but funny locker room stories.

I have always wondered if the fact the two had been friends for 15 or more years took some of Quentin's edge off.for some reason Q wasn't much on his offense when he wrestled Bosak!!
Q = 6-1-2-1
Z = 5-1-1-1
both wrestled as TR FR
my point was not that Q was as dominant on a match per match basis, but the placings were close.
i guess what i'm ultimately trying to say is that QW is massively underrated.
Never had a bobblehead night, that I can remember. That's very underrated.the most underrated PSU wrester since at least Cael took over
"Some reason"=Bosaks right hand was planted squarely on Wright's throat for approximately 5 minutes and 45 seconds of the match.for some reason Q wasn't much on his offense when he wrestled Bosak!!
Which time? Q majored Bosak in the Scuffle finals that season. In the NCAA finals Bosak stalled the entire match and naturally the ref never called him for stalling, for some reason Q wasn't much on his offense when he wrestled Bosak!!
It wasn't like Q pushed the pace either.Which time? Q majored Bosak in the Scuffle finals that season. In the NCAA finals Bosak stalled the entire match and naturally the ref never called him for stalling,
More likely Bosak (with Rob Koll's help) came up with a plan to beat a wrestler he was familiar with. Steve kept it close and it came down to one TD in sudden victory, It could have gone either way.I have always wondered if the fact the two had been friends for 15 or more years took some of Quentin's edge off.
Seriously. Koll has a history of game planning, especially on re-matches, but Q took it easy on a guy he's known since childhood, smh.More likely Bosak (with Rob Koll's help) came up with a plan to beat a wrestler he was familiar with. World of difference between took it easy and lost a smidgen of his edge. But feel free to shake your freaking head.Seriously. Koll has a history of game planning, especially on re-matches, but Q took it easy on a guy he's known since childhood, smh.
Phrase it however you want, you accused Q of not giving Bosak his best because of their past relationship.World of difference between took it easy and lost a smidgen of his edge. But feel free to shake your freaking head.
Over the years I have generally liked your board persona, but lately your level of pompous pain in the ass has become somewhat irritating. SMFH
Dude, everybody on here knows you have a sharp mind, very analytical and capable of plowing through oddles of data and arriving at very logical conclusions. The subtleties of psychology are obviously beyond the reach of that pompous mind of your's.Phrase it however you want, you accused Q of not giving Bosak his best because of their past relationship.
Q is one of my all time favorite PSU wrestlers he is all classNever had a bobblehead night, that I can remember. That's very underrated.
"What happens when a weight clears out" for 100, Ken.Q had tougher opponents in college than Zain did overall.
Kilgore was a fan favorite because he came from a mid major program. Nothing wrong with giving him a big spot light. Also, it is tougher to be a champ from a smaller school with less coaches, work out partners, etc . etc.Q was overshadowed on his own team by Taylor and Ruth. Maybe that's a little different if he didn't let Bosak suck him into a low-energy final.
Was also bizarre that Kilgore was so overrated -- a very good wrestler but became Babe Ruth when Foster pinned himself -- and then legend-wise Q got barely a golf clap for being clearly better.
For one thing, they weighed a lot more!Q had tougher opponents in college than Zain did overall.
shots fired at Brandon SorensenQ had tougher opponents in college than Zain did overall.
More like the rest of the weight. Much respect to Brandon and Zain.shots fired at Brandon Sorensen
Logan Steiber? Turk just being turk not knowing what he is talking about.shots fired at Brandon Sorensen
shut upMore like the rest of the weight. Much respect to Brandon and Zain.
i'm not trying to say Q was as good or even had as good 'career' as Zain.Tale of the Tape:
Wright:
116-23
45% Bonus
4x AA
3x Finalist
2x Champ
Retherford:
126-3
75% Bonus
4x AA
3x Finalist
3x Champ
2x Hodge
2x World Medalist
World Champ
Olympian
Q was awesome. Q is underrated. But there’s no real comparison here.
Yeah, Lugo and Pantaleo and Tsirtsis and Jordan were stiffs. Especially Lugo.More like the rest of the weight. Much respect to Brandon and Zain.
The only reason Zain made the Olympic team was that the bloody rag on his forehead made him look likei scoffed when zain made the finals of the world championships the last two years.
i mean, pfft. how weak is this planet?
See how you just twisted what was said? Classic Willie.i scoffed when zain made the finals of the world championships the last two years.

You should leave this site in protest. I'll defend you to the best of my abilities.See how you just twisted what was said? Classic Willie.
I never said anything about recent results at the world Championships. I was talking about Zain and Q in college. That is what your topic was about, right?
Yeah - guilty as charged. The guys sitting below the raised stage just to the right of Cael. Laughing, play hitting each other and shaking their heads after that last one.I didn't notice that, so it must have been Chickenman ... or maybe Cowbell?
not true Zain was just so much better he made others all look bad!Q had tougher opponents in college than Zain did overall.
What am I making excuses for? Nothing. I just think Q had tougher competition overall in college. That's it.every time someone is crushing everyone that's the excuse,oh its weak weight!LOL
I agree willy the end results may not have been the same but there isn't much difference in degree of talent between those two.i'm not trying to say Q was as good or even had as good 'career' as Zain.
i'm just saying
6-1-2-1
isn't far off from
5-1-1-1
just trying to give the guy some love.
plus a lot of his struggles that one season was b/c he had other stuff outside of wrestling going on.
