Question on Team scoring

Would it be a true statement that if the tournament was still scored as a 64 person bracket Penn State would've had 8 additonal points for a total of 154.5? If true it's going to be tough to break the record without the additional advancement ppoint per wrestler when you win your first match. Has the team scoring changed in any other ways.

Didn't falls used to be one point and majors .5? If I am remembering that correctly?

No idea, which is why I started this thread. Trying to get some semblance of apples to apples. I read a thread that at one time you got an extra point for a pin in the first period. No clue on the timeline of all this. I appreciate all the feedback.
