Just a few notes to pass along now that photos are up and our coverage is almost complete for the day today.
- I had Ricky Slade and Miles Sanders primarily working on kick return during the portion I saw.
- Journey Brown, DeAndre Thompkins, Mac Hippenhammer, K.J. Hamler, Jahan Dotson and Mark Allen were all doing punt return work.
- Justin Tobin and Vlad Hilling were the two place kickers doing field goal work, with Kyle Vasey handling the snapping duties and Blake Gillikin holding. Franklin was working these guys pretty hard on the details, from what I saw. Also, my understanding is that Carson Landis is not being carried with the 110 allowed at this point in the preseason, but will rejoin the team once the full 120 is allowed.
- A few personnel notes: Manny Bowen, back at practice... Jake Zembiec, not practicing, watching in street clothes... Torrence Brown, as promised by Brent Pry, not practicing nor will he be ready for the start of the season.
- Some of the biggest boys on this team are the young bucks. C.J. Thorpe, Des Holmes, Aeneas Hawkins, and Fred Hansard are all big, big guys. On a different type of scale, but relevant nonetheless, I can never get over how much of a gazelle Zack Kuntz is. Kid is just so tall and long. Lamont Wade is another one who, though he isn't the biggest guy, just looks like a brick house ready to knock your lights out.
