R.I.P. Frank Deford

A very gifted writer. He's from back in the day when Sports Illustrated had far and away the best staff of writers compared to any and all publications.

I liked Deford, but he was less than kind (or accurate) in his writings about Joe after the Sandusky Scandal broke. An example is linked below. Still, he was a talented writer. I bear him no animus. Rest in Peace.
