3 runs in the 9th. This team has bull pen issues and they aren't going to compete for the playoffs with that kind of performance, Correct me on this, but hasn't the staff given up at least one homer in every game.

Any closer who ever gives up runs is a bum.

Posts like this crack me up. The season just started and the players

aren't robots. They go through peaks and valleys, just like anybody else. If the same issues are still happening in a few months, then you might have a point.

The flag gets raised for the 'W', for winning the battle and taking today's loot, for even daring to compete with these media-darling-can't-lose Tigers.

I had the chance to watch the 9th inning on the tube....


that was a situation that was much more a case of good hitting, than poor pitching.

The Tiger hitters hit some quality pitches....none of them were "hangers", couple of really quality hitters just had good at bats. The at bat to Cespedes in particular, Melancon was essentially perfect, and he just made a play and beat him. The home run (Martinez?) was a 321 foot pop up down the line (unfortunately, to the part of the park were the fence is at 320). Sometimes it goes like that. Next time out, Melancon may hang a couple - and get two pop ups.
