Before reading the link, where do you believe the Cotton Bowl is ranked in the list?

Link: http://insider.espn.com/college-foo...ootball-40-bowl-games-least-most-entertaining

Penn State vs. Memphis
Dec. 28, Noon, ESPN/ESPN App
AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas

Memphis' Kenneth Gainwell was thrust into action early in the year when star tailback Patrick Taylor went down with an injury. Now Gainwell is just 43 scrimmage yards away from 2,000 on the year. In the past 15 seasons, Wisconsin's Jonathan Taylor is the only other freshman to do that. Meanwhile, Penn State led the nation in yards-per-rush allowed. And if that's not an impressive enough matchup for you, stick around for the myriad discussions of the American's place as the sixth Power 5 conference that are bound to come with a competitive performance by the Tigers.

I’ll say...8th. BrB.

7-10... now i'll go see what it says.

Edit: And I can see it.

BTW, while most here agree that under normal circumstances 'bama plows michigan, i'm expecting at least 5 tide players to forgoe this one (all predicted to go in the first round). Maybe they won't, but if they do... well, um suddenly can make it a game.

Send this to that clown, I think McNit07 who is utterly clueless and whining incessantly about PSU playing Memphis. He thinks we are so much better than they are and above them but has conveniently built in an excuse that if we lose then it is because we didn't want to be there. He thinks that someone can pick up the phone at PSU and ordain whomever we want to play ina bowl game. No, we want to play Bama in the Sugar bowl so Sandy Barbour needs to make that happen. Total ignorance. Fans of PSU that you clearly are embarrassed for.

Screwed again. PSU could have been part of the 3rd most entertaining bowl instead of 4th. Klatt, Herby, Delaney, Emmert, and the entire CFP committee.....not to mention each and every member of the Rose Bowl Committee.....Bastards.........

The yahoo version of this list has Pitts game as the worst bowl game of the year.

In two weeks Pitt went from the Orange Bowl to the Toilet Bowl. The bright side of playing a 3-5 MAC team is a "stellar" 8-5 season, with marquee wins over Delaware and EMU.

a couple of 6-6 teams and a 7-5 that they beat were selected before Pitt....that has to hurt

I would have guessed somewhere around 8th but had already read the article. That yards per rush stat seemed to steadily move up as we played teams with a rushing attack.as the Season went on. This game should be interesting.

The very fact that Virginia and Memphis are even playing in Bowls, that used to be part of the Big 4, is testament to how watered down the Bowl System has become.

No matter what bowl or against any team, penn state's bowl is always my most interesting. No need to hit the link.
Got 4 plane tickets, AirBnB 3 bedroom 2.5 bath, 4 game tickets and 5 days in Dallas.....Pasadena or Dallas? I was in State College on 7/23/12 to say goodbye to my high school coach....on the way home I listened to the radio and heard the news that I thought would bury the team I loved for the rest of my life. If you can't rejoice in what has happened since that day less than 8 years ago.....in my book you are a clown (nicest word I could think of).

I don’t know why there’s so much of an uproar. They’ve got a great chance to win 11 games and finish in the top 10. Wisconsin has a bad loss, but dominated Michigan and Minnesota, and lost a relatively close game against OSU.

Agreed. It really could have been as simple as Wisky was recently at the Cotton Bowl and PSU at the Rose Bowl.

It's one man's opinion. If I don't have a rooting interest in either team, there are at least a half dozen bowls I would rather watch than ours, including the one ranked directly below us, Alabama/Michigan.

So cool, taking the boys to the game, I'm sure they will enjoy. My two eldest grandchildren had me purchasing tickets to the Rose Bowl, until the bowl bids came earlier this week. That was going to be their parents Christmas present to them.

When the Cotton Bowl was announced, the boys couldn't go because the oldest has an engagement party on the 28th of December. Maybe next year for the kids. Will probably have to include the three grandgirls next year since one will be a senior, the other a sophomore and our dear Lexis in Alabama will be off to medical school, and will also wish to go

Grandparenting is soo much different then when my grandparents raised me.

Yes, we'll do it as long as we can. This will be the 11th without my wife. It really helped us get thru the years.
The change in date was the only problem I had with the bowl as well.
No grandchildren yet. But God Bless your family.....sounds wonderful.

I dont believe I could do anything without my wife Karen, we had been the best of friends since 8th grade. Loosing her would send me into an unrecoverable tail spin...for the worst.

So now we are assigning credibility to ESPN?Tickets are available for $13.25. If the Cotton Bowl is ranked that high, do they pay you to go to the other games? Of course I know you can’t pick up the phone to determine who you play on bowl games. But there are things that can be done if you are doing your job (which SB did poorly at Cal and is doing equally poorly at PSU?)

Met my wife in 7th grade LOL. I went back to work which gave me some boundaries, but I wasn't wired to lead a sane or normal life without "direction." Without her, I've spent 10 years 2 months and 4 days....pretty much "running in place."

Just go to the Rose bowl and leave us alone. I actually don't think there is a Cotton bowl as the Memphis football team does not exist. They pulled one over on PSU. Wisky is dying to have you as a fan. You can get some good discounts now for a nice Wisconsin hoodie.

God bless ya Marshall, I can't envision normality in my life without Karen...
51 yrs of marrage, many obstacles (me of course :() for her to overcome and live with.

We'd have lost twice if we had played them again too.
Ha, this is the truth, as tough as it is for me to admit. Maybe the only exception is playing them now with a different oc and a new playcalling strategy.

You still don't have anyone to block Young and you can't be serious that having a new OC "Now" would make a difference. It will take all spring for even minor adjustments to be taught and absorbed. When you can't control the LOS there isn't a play God ever drew up that will work.
