Interestingly, Fina is connected to 1998 by virtue of him going to work for AG Mike Fisher (in 2003). I suspect Fisher was the "force" in Harrisburg that got DPW (Lauro) to make the Sandusky problem disappear.

Even more interesting, in 2005 Tom Corbett (Fisher's successor) named Fina to head the AG's criminal prosecution unit.

2005 was the same year Ray Gricar went missing and Tom Corbett decided to let the Bellefonte PD investigate the case. Why did Tom let a police force that didn't even work around the clock investigate an extremely high profile missing persons case? Why wasn't Fina supervising the case (if he was heading up the unit at the time?)

Gricar disappeared two weeks after Chris Lee ("Sandusky Lite") was arrested for molesting kids at the Boal Mansion. The new DA Madeira made sure the case went nowhere and Judge Brad Lunsford (a TSM Board Member) sentenced Lee to ARD.

So, when Sandusky pops up in 2009 on a child abuse case, Madeira kicks the case to Corbett and Fina....who foot drag going to TSM to look for victims for two years. Some say that Dawn Daniels threat of going to the Feds forced the issue....

Interestingly, it was the the Feds who pushed the case and eventual arrest of Lee in 2014 after Stacy Parks Miller dragged her feet. Stacy Parks Miller, who received the "anonymous" email tip on Sandusky the day after Corbett was elected.

Of course, all this stuff is just coincidental!

I used this earlier today.....but it is appropriate once again......

BOOM!!!!

Thanks for your help.

Your selfless efforts have been noted.....and your wonderful visions and strategies duly considered

Gee, something tells me that it isn't a coincidence that he is one of the Magnificent 7 that made my ignore list since joining due to their attacking style and incoherent responses every time I posted on a subject they didn't seem to approve of... Something tells me that Occam's Razor suggests that "coincidence" is not the simplest and most elegant explanation.

Incoherent responses.........LOL

What? Ziegler didn't contribute to this piece?

That's TIC of course.

Here's my issue. We have these people that came out of the woodwork to try to clear joes good name. Those above that wrote the story.

But after these people have spent FOUR years of their lives doing investigative journalism work, is this stuff reaching other eyes outside of everyone's couple hundred followers on Twitter and this forum?

It just seems like this stuff just gets kicked around in here for a couple days then dies off.

You want the walls to crumble, start doing hit pieces on people that still do have their jobs. Until these other people in power are exposed and removed, the blanket over the "conspiracy of silence" will remain.

I applaud the efforts. I really do. But 4 years later and the needle has barely moved.

Jim this case is very complex and has many players, but for the record I have spent much of my time going after Fina as well, including standing in the rotunda at the state capitol and excoriating his role in passing around child exploitation emails while investigating a child predator. I don't have unlimited resources, nor do I collect any contributions of any kind, but do all of my work on my own time and dime.

Your point is debatable, ChiTown.

I don't think anyone questions the tenacity, bravado, pride and dedication that Ray and others have put into this.

The point is that outside of those who read the board and follow the scandal on Twitter, the needle hasn't moved. Things pop up from time to time in the media, but by and large, opinion hasn't changed.

You have your people on the left who hate PSU and will never change their mind, and people on the right who love PSU and will never change their mind. The middle ground largely doesn't care. To this end, one could reasonably argue that opinion on PSU hasn't changed since the scandal. Remember, "haters gonna hate".

I think what's missed here is that beyond writing blogs, we (the people listed on that post, and others) take the fight to people who CAN change things. We have met with politicians, media, law enforcement, child services experts, etc, etc, etc. It's not just about screaming on the internet, its about making a difference in many small ways.
