Berge is wrestling for sure? That is great news. I’m excited to see him get back on the mat!

Cadets is absolutely loaded! So many good kids and tough brackets. 51, 55, and 60 kg are all stacked with elite kids. Howard could be the first cadet to make 3 straight cadet teams since cadet worlds got reinstated. He will have tough matches with Bouzakis and Jakason Burks. Howard beat Bouzakis last year but he’s been on a roll lately. I believe Burks made the Greco world team last year. I’m also excited to see Richie Figs, Joey Cruz, Alex Facundo, and VanNess. I’m extra excited to see VanNess. He has no separation points so he will be the bad draw in the bracket. 4 min matches isn’t ideal for his style and pace but he is a stud and interested to see him in freestyle against top kids. Going to be an amazing weekend of wrestling!

I do believe, with out such a drastic weight cut for this up comng season, we will see a much better version of Berge
I hope you're correct.
I don't know if he has enough offense from his feet or on the mat. He didn't create much from top against smaller guys and now the thought is he'll do better with bigger guys.??
I do think weight was an issue last year. I just don't know how much that affected his ability to score early before the gas tank emptied.
We'll see.

just find it crazy that such a big international tournament only has 3 entries at a weight.

That's correct. The way the round robin is set up, he will get three matches in, however (two with the same guy).

Yea, wrestling isn't such a major sport in the "lower" (southern) Americas. Soccer is all the rage.

And only one entry per country. There are 30+ countries eligible for the Pan Ams and yet none of the weights have even 16 entries.

I am using a vpn with Canada as my country. I tried European countries and it didn't work.

Yeah, Canada working for me too. Ironically, I'll actually be near my favorite VPN server in 24 hours.
