Btw, did anyone actually see Cael throwing chairs? The HR folks assure it happened but I haven't seen it in any video that I saw.

It's pretty cool to see recruits coming in this class from Arizona, Oregon, and Cali...life in PA could be a big change from life out on the West Coast! Having multiple guys going through that together should help ease the transition a bit.

Good article, although I would hope most people already know without knowing the actual numbers that men's bball makes a huge profit. It's all about the TV money and has been for 40+ years. The only thing that surprised me was that men's Ice Hockey makes a profit. Good for them.

While it happened a bit faster than I expected, I'm not surprised that men's hockey is turning a profit. They had a few things going for them as well as some smart moves by the AthDept

1) nailing the coaching hire
2) earlier than expected success
3) Pegula and other donors donating considerable money to endow and cover some of the operating costs of the program
4) a small, but loyal Icers fan base that the AthDept was smart enough not to disenfranchise when they made the jump
5) the ability to tap into and convert the considerable NHL following among the students
6) marketing the hell out of the program

What do you mean, "bring this crap over here." This is my home board. I'm not posting on HR today because it is a cesspool at the moment. That's my opinion. I like HR most of the time and don't get into the banter aspect, but HR was over the top the last 12 hours. If you can't see that, not my problem. Not everyone mind you, but a vocal minority took control overnight.

HR is always an over the top cesspool.
