Saw him wrestle down here at the Flowing Wells tournament in the finals. He blew through the tournament but his won his finals in a decision 10-4. First time I have ever seen him not get bonus in the state of Az IIRC. Dude did run from him a lot. His team lost to Tempe Corona Del Sol by three points...both had five guys in the finals.

I think guys are catching up to him now and that's it. He'll end his HS career here in NY on a very good note probably be the 3rd guy to win 5 state titles (would've probably been 4th but Yianni isn't finishing his hs career and I expect Jacori Teemer to be the 2nd) but he reminds me a lot of marsteller in that he is more physically mature than his competition. I think he's gotta change up some things in his game as well that may be hurting him. He goes straight for that jones tilt every time someone gets in on him and people are defending it better. He's a great kid and I hope I'm wrong but that's just the way I see it.

Watched his loss on flo and the leg is heavily taped. He looks stiff to me but will defer to NY on the greater intel.

Ny does he ever get away from his current team, coaches, training partners? Has the feel of a kid who could use a change of training scenery.

I mean the kid looked good at Super 32, so I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. His matches have had stoppage and he was noticably limping. But sure, he could be embellishing a bit. The concerns regarding his style are valid though.

He usually bounces around 2 different clubs on LI as far as I know. With Mike Patrovich taking the assistant job at Hofstra I don't know if he's at the barn as much but he's at VHW where guys like Teemer and Arujua are at.

I don't like hearing he's still wrestling, frankly. I saw him at the all-star event at Grapple at the Garden and he didn't look good at all physically. I was hoping he would shut it down for a while and get healthy. I'm someone who had recurrent knee injuries from my senior year of high school until I had to stop wrestling my senior year of college and think it's better to get the knee right than to keep fighting through the injury. I was told I wouldn't be able to walk by the time I was 30 if I didn't stop wrestling. That was good enough for me. I stopped (at least for a few years until the knee was better).

Yes. I strongly agee...He needs to rest and get healthy...Wish i knew him...Maybe some guys can reach out to him and tell him he needs to get his heath together if he wants to make a run at National Titles....He has already proven himself....Be smart Adam !!!!

I enjoy your posts and insights, but in all seriousness, do you honesty think that somebody can just reach out to him and convince him to shut it down? He has a family, coaches, friends, etc. Do you honestly think he's going to be swayed by guys he's not in regular contact with reaching out to him and telling him to shut it down?
