FYI it's currently airing on PBS.
I've been watching and I'm struck how history repeats itself. From the use of strategic hamlets (what are called 'sanctuary cities' here in the U.S.) to Kim Jong-un's push for reunification. In fact, I've since changed my stance on Korea. I believe we should withdraw troops and let Koreans sort it out. The desire for a people to reunify is an inexorable force. Displacing people according to ideology never works. So why not push for Korea reunification. Surely Kim won't be able to hold power now that 2 out-of 3 Koreans have seen the light. Watch Ken Burns' Vietnam. The parallels to today are striking.
