This May, the Global Challenges Foundation is hosting a forum for their TOP 20 participants in their New Shape Prize ($5 million USD for anyone to devise a better system for global governance). To my understanding, this event should be available via live streaming.
I've followed stuff like this since I minored in STS (Science, Technology and Society) as an Undergraduate. And, I have been following the Global Challenges Foundation since 2014.
I am pleased the founder created this Foundation and pleased he put up $5 million USD for the NSP competition. Initially, I thought the winning proposal would be a new United Nations. But, now, I am convinced we are going to witness the birth of a new type of block chain technology. But, it's just my guess (since I entered the competition and have been discussing this competition with fellow participants for the past year).
Data shows that byv2050, 75% to 80% of the world's population will live in cities; populations are aligning themselves regionally. We already have the C40. Mayors are becoming more and more instrumental in world affairs.
I think the winner of the NSP will have developed an algorithm capable of true transparency and the elimination of corruption involving major corporations and cities throughout the world. Block chain technology already has this ability. So, my guess, there will be a mathematician that will have developed something unique (based on block chain or something entirely new).
Anyway, this is an exciting time for me. And, I wanted to share this Forum for you guys. There are going to be many prominent people in Stockholm for the event. Again, I believe we are going to witness the birth of something very good for the future of Naked Apes everywhere.
