Sunday was Penn State's best camp of the summer, as the staff hosted quite a few FBS prospects.
I posted a gallery featuring the top prospects in attendance.

- PSU commits Keaton Ellis and TaQuan Roberson both worked out for the staff. Ellis ran around a 4.5 40. He also had around a 4.3 shuttle and a 9 foot, 11 inch broad jump. All of those numbers are really good. As you can see from the photos, Ellis has put on some really nice weight. He's really starting to look the part.
- Roberson had a very good day throwing the ball. I'll have some film on him, Ellis and a few other prospects, probably tomorrow. We got to watch Roberson workout with Sean Clifford most of the night. It was fun to see Roberson work with his future teammate. You can tell he really takes to coaching. He's always double and triple-checking what Rahne and Clifford were explaining. That's a great sign. Roberson didn't run this evening, so no updated testing numbers from PSU's future QB.
- 2020 QB Evan Simon also had a solid day throwing the ball. He ran a 4.8 40 and had a 4.7 shuttle. PSU would probably like to see those numbers improve a bit. If he does end up getting a PSU offer down the road, he's all but lock to end up here. Simon and 2021 QB Tahjamell Bullock both received some extra time with Rahne after camp. That's always a good sign that the staff liked what they saw and want to see more.
- Four-star 2020 OL Chris Mayo was in attendance. From what I saw, he had a mixed day. I know the staff was hoping to see more from him during testing. They were let down a bit with his strength. Mayo visited previously this year, so this is an offer he clearly covets. I didn't get to see his workout out on the field, however. It was raining really hard in State College today and the OL went outside. I couldn't take the camera out there in that, so I'm not sure how he did during workouts. Just know his testing was mixed.
- At RB, 2020 prospect Tirek Murphy and 2021 prospect Johnny Martin both looked really impressive. Murphy didn't run the 40, but Martin ran a 4.5 during testing. He also put up a good shuttle and broad jump, so keep an eye on Martin. He had a big season in 2017. I think it's only a matter of time until PSU offers him. On top of that, he's said repeatedly that PSU has a favorite for him growing up.
