I don't have time to type up a full story this morning, but I was able to get some basic feedback from OL Jakai Moore regarding his visit the other day.

Moore visited South Carolina last weekend to participate in their camp. I feel as if the Gamecocks have emerged as Penn State's top competitor here. That's why it was really important for PSU to get him on campus before the dead period starts on Monday.

"It was great. It was a lot of fun," he said. "We did a photoshoot out on the field. I went through their football facility again and also went to the academic center. I also got to watch film [with Coach Limegrover]."

Moore said that he also spent time with basically the entire coaching staff. He also got to meet freshman OL Rasheed Walker, who answered some questions for him about why he chose Penn State, etc.

"They have me as their number one offensive tackle. They were saying that they really need me."

Penn State has also informed Moore about the Lasch Bash BBQ, which takes place in roughly five weeks from now at the end of July. It's still a bit too early for Moore to plan anything, but I'll be watching him closely. Moore genuinely is the staff's top target at tackle, so they'll be making a major push to try and get him on board sooner than he currently plans. However, I still see this recruitment dragging into the season. An official visit for a game is likely.
