I've been trying to confirm this all day. Finally received a respond.
Penn State offered Thompson's Station, Tenn., Independence WR Nate Johnson this afternoon.
I need to learn more on Johnson, so I'm trying to have an extended conversation with him sometime this weekend, but this fits with my opinion on Tre Nixon, which is that he's now leaning towards Florida. Virginia Beach WR Phil Patterson is another prospect that I'm trying to monitor. I'm also hoping to speak with Patterson this weekend.
I know Johnson committed to Purdue back in the summer, then backed out of that commitment about a month back. He also currently has four official visits set. Those are:
Purdue - Dec. 11
Miami - Jan. 15
Vanderbilt - Jan. 22
Northwestern - Jan. 29
Because of the dead period, this weekend is the only other weekend he could take an official visit to Penn State, unless of course he cancels one of the visits he currently has set, so that's something I'll try to learn more on in the coming week.
