Well, that game at Piscataway certainly nailed down choice options for NJ star athletes, choosing between RU and PSU. And with ND struggling it might also help there. Throw in a terrific season by the Good Guys and you have many more reasons to choose us over the other choices in the area ( include MD, Temple and Pitt as well) We may not have started out the season as such, but we certainly are the Champions of PA, despite the early loss to Pitt.
Those who previously doubted CJF and staff will have to view the outcome of 2016, and the harmony/unity/family atmosphere CJF promotes as strong reasons to like Happy Valley once again.
Those who are considering OSU, UM and MSU, will need to add a new name to that power grouping: the Nittany Lions.
Recruiting is poised to take a huge bounce over the next couple of years. OLmen are seeing what a great coach(es) can do with young talented linemen in less than one year. DLmen will see what our new DC is doing pushing PT for a rotation of young, undersized DLmen who are learning to swarm and play as a unit, with its inferred early PT potential.
The upside for our current OL ( and backups) is only going higher as time passes and they gain experience and weight.
