A.J. Lytton

Former Florida State defensive back AJ Lytton is on campus today. He spent the day with the staff and I've been monitoring it throughout the day. I'm being told right now that no decision has made yet in regards to whether he's a take or not. I know he had some academic concerns, but just the fact that he's on campus means something. I'll check in with contacts about it tomorrow morning.
Lytton was “removed” from Florida State's roster by Mike Norvell in Feb. 2020, but he's a pretty good player that could help Penn State immediately. He played as a backup during his first two seasons at FSU, totaling 28 tackles in 22 games.
UPDATE: Saturday - 10 PM
I caught up with a few people in regards to Lytton. I'm being told that as long as he completes a class or two at a junior college this semester, he'll be joining the roster at the start of the next summer semester, so June 30th range. That means he will be here for training camp. I'll keep an eye on him in the weeks ahead, but the plan is for him to end up here.
