Did you see #14 on UMich hit the Sparty WR out of bounds after he had dropped the ball clearly before the hit????? Put PSU in the same situation against either one of these teams where we hit their WR in the same way......my bet is we get PF 15 yds and maybe even an ejection.

Watching the snow at Wisconsin! And rain delay at sparty

Thought it was a clean (non-targeting) but late hit. The receiver was still in-bounds when the contact was initiated. Of course the guy that dropped the pass didn’t drop a thing against PSU last week. He heard or saw the safety coming in.....which unfortunately didn’t happen on his TD reception last week.

He wasn't out of bounds and my initial reaction was yeah... defenseless player. But he hit him properly.

I'm assuming the MSU WR that needed help walking off the field on the final drive against us is on the sideline in a boot, cast or on crutches. Horrific injury!!

Exactly what I thought. That's an example of a call that could go either way, where bias tends to be a factor. No doubt that gets called against PSU.

So if our guys play to avoid such penalties, as Franklin was surely coaching this week, we then play less aggressively. Same with holding (judgment calls) by DBs and OLs. This is how those calls, or non-calls, go way beyond the fowl itself.

Michigan and OSU get away with more marginal stuff than any teams I've watched. It catches up with them in bowl games.

Sparty hoping the weather gods will ice Michigan today so they can upset them. This seems very familiar!

Was watching in a restaurant, no audio, thought exactly the same thing. What did the announcers say?

Apparently hugging an MSU receiver is okay if you’re a Michigan DB, but breathing on them is not okay if you’re a Penn State DB.

UMich earlier also got a great spot at the MSU 6 when a punt went out closer to the 8-9 yd line. The ball never got close to the 6 in-bounds or our-of-bounds.

Pretty clear that the refs are suiting up for big blue this week. That personal foul on Bush was actually targeting. Clear helmet to helmet contact.

What? Offensive holding on MSU? Does such a call exist?

Classic way of drawing the penalty. Fall down and let yourself get buried while the OL has contact. Most of the time this isn't any more holding than what is normally allowed when both players are standing and engaged.

Flipped over right after our D allowed lndiana's TD only to see a phantom personal foul on Mich St

I did see it. Posted the exact same thing on another thread. Also, no way MI gets called out of bounds on the 5 yd line like Jonathan Thomas did in the Penn St game on that kick off return

Refs helped put away Indiana on that final pass. I am sure the Hoosiers would have liked to get off one Hail Mary.
