Report: Jim Harbaugh exploring potential NFL return

My only concern is if michigan actually gets a competent coach.

I honestly think he is the best they are going to do. It’s a tough area of the country to recruit. No real natural recruiting base. They have a national reputation, of course, but if they could not out recruit O$U with a celebrity coach, I really don’t see how they can do it without one. Who would they bring in with more name recognition? They are too arrogant to go the proper route and find a rising star and give him time to build a program. Even though they haven’t won more than half a national championship since before WWII, they believe they should win a national championship every year.

Harbaugh to his agent - "Speak to your NFL contacts and try to get me the hell out of Ann Arbor. The UM administration told me they had the Big Ten officials in their hip pocket but they actually called penalties on us against Penn State. Geez, even Ohio State gets interceptions which aren't interceptions and extra time to kick field goals."

More likely they end up with another rich rod than someone who takes the program up a notch.

He was probably told to find a new job by UM higher ups. It’s one thing if he is winning, but combine losing and his antics, he’s worn out his welcome.

Good points. I think rhule or david shaw could be intriguing for them, not celebs, but good guys and smart coaches. Both would be better than rich rod or harbs

Good news for us is they are too arrogant to hire either one.

Rhule is really good. I am starting to wonder if he might be one of the greats given his success at Temple AND Baylor. It is really hard to be a great recruiter in two places with such disparate cultures. Rhule would be a real thorn in our side in the Philly area. Let’s hope you are right and they are too dumb or arrogant to hire him.

They've got the best head coach in waiting in America on their staff already. LOL
