Simply put, in a free enterprise system, the marketplace rewards people and organizations that create “things” and services of value others willingly buy and consume. When this occurs, “wealth” is created by the transactions that occur. A marketplace is created by a compensation system that unfolds fairly predictably, based on value delivered and—this is critical—based almost completely on relative scarcity of providers and their particular preparedness to offer renderings of relative rarity or commonness.
