I have always wondered why Rivals uses the total points score as the final measure of a recruiting class ranking. It has always been my position that quality out weighs quantity. Of course, that changes when the quantity far out numbers quality. But for most in the top 10 rankings the spread is from 18 to 26....so why is a class that has an average of 3.56 points per recruit be lower than a school that has a 3.29 and only 3 more recruits, Or another school that loads up on 3 star recruits pushing their total to 26 recruits, but average 3.54 per recruit. I am well aware that STAR ratings are a limited measure of a players ability to play at a division 1 school.
