Rod Erickson depo

Did he say why he said that PSU's Insurer would pay any and all claims? Was he told about TSM's Indemnification of PSU? If he was told of PSU's Contract and Indemnification of PSU, why didn't he insist that TSM pay? Did he say why he signed off on Sandusky receiving "Emeritus Status" when he didn't qualify for it? Did he say why he violated his PSU Charter LOA when he signed the Consent Decree???, Etc... I can't believe this POS is throwing anybody under the bus - I hope his sorry, cowardly, pathetic @ss gets a call from the OAG's Office about all of his malfeasance relative to his Fiduciary Obligations to PSU!!!

Poor Rodney, he was promised "confidentiality." What else is in his interview notes with Freeh's team? #transparency

President Erickson's Promise to the Penn State Community

1. I will reinforce to the entire Penn State community the moral imperative of doing the right thing -- the first time, every time.

-- We will revisit all standards, policies and programs to ensure they meet not only the law, but Penn State's standard. To oversee this effort, I will appoint an Ethics Officer that will report directly to me.

-- I ask for the support of the entire Penn State community to work together to reorient our culture. Never again should anyone at Penn State feel scared to do the right thing. My door will always be open.

2. As I lead by example, I will expect no less of others.

-- I will ensure proper governance and oversight exists across the entire University, including Intercollegiate Athletics.

3. Penn State is committed to transparency to the fullest extent possible given the ongoing investigations.

-- I commit to providing meaningful and timely updates as frequently as needed.

-- I encourage dialogue with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other members of the Penn State Community.

4. We will be respectful and sensitive to the victims and their families. We will seek appropriate ways to foster healing and raise broader awareness of the issue of sexual abuse.

5. My administration will provide whatever resources, access and information is needed to support the Special Committee's investigation. I pledge to take immediate action based on their findings.

Spineless Rod calling someone else an errand boy. That's rich.

Yea, shocking that this classless, piece-of-$hit, douche-bag came to PSU with a "traditional b1g shiz-hole" background in terms of both education and employment. Typical "traditional b1g shiz-hole", two-faced, double-standard, zero-principle, exclusively self-interested, cowardly, hypocritical A$$HOLE!!!

Amnesia: Causes, Symptoms and Treatments
Written by Christian Nordqvist

When people lose their ability to memorize data they have amnesia. Amnesia also refers to an inability to recall information that is stored in memory. In simple terms, amnesia is the loss of memory. The causes of amnesia may be organic or functional.

Organic causes of amnesia may include brain damage through injury, or the use of specific drugs - usually sedative drugs. Amnesia may be one of the symptoms of some degenerative brain diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease.

Functional causes of amnesia are psychological factors, such as defense mechanisms.

It's truly astounding the number of self serving piece of shit scumbags this scandal has exposed. They were all along lurking in the background enjoying the high tide that Joe brought in for decades then didn't hesitate for a second to stab him and the entire PSU community in the back the moment the tide went down one millimeter.

It appears the engine of our school had only a small handful of honorable leaders and the rest were a bunch of leeches.

Guy was a terrible figurehead for the university when we needed leadership in the worst way.

He is SORRY you feel that way and he apologizes on behalf of all of us for him being not only a terrible leader but also a terrible person and his ability to turn everything he touched into a heaping pile of shit greater than it had to be. He apologizes for everyone because he apparently operates in a world where one's sins are all of ours.

The dumb prick is a hypocrite piece of garbage.

I mentioned this in a thread a couple of weeks ago. I know someone who was interviewed by the Freeh people and she said this is EXACTLY what they tried to get her to say. She didn't agree with that and she said so. This was someone who worked closely with Tim.

Before he rots in hell he'll be collecting about $40,000/month in pension, if I recall correctly.

He is a miserable human being, though, in all honesty. He knows how he was never president material and was only going to top out as a provost, he knows how much people hate him, and his son committed suicide. Obviously he was going to take the presidency and do whatever his handlers wanted.

FWIW, called Erickson's office 2012 when the whole storm with freeh report and consent decree was going down and his office was getting killed with phone calls from pissed alumni. One of secretaries who answered the phone was very cordial and blunt with me and told me she felt Erickson was just taking orders from the bot and the bot was running the show. Anyone who watched Erickson speak for half a second could tell he had absolutely zero leadership qualities.

Well - to be fair, Rod Erickson was fully informed by Frank Fina of the "flip strategy" Fina employed.

Therefore he knew, or should have known, that the target was Dr. Spanier, and that the AG's office had no intention of properly investigating Second Mile & CYS, and was just using this case as a political assassination and for election points.

For Erickson, as president of the University - and for someone who spent decades employed there - to not stand up for the university at this point is inexcusable. Why did he not bring this issue before the full Board to discuss? Why did he not bring this issue before the general counsel?

That is a massive red flag - no - it's a rocket exploding - and Fraudney simply jots it down in his personal notebook and fails to do more. One would think if you knew of harm being done to the principals of the state's flagship university by state actors, you have a moral obligation to tell those in a position to do something about it.

Couldn't agree more. When I see this crap by Erickson and see what the old guard bot has done, I'm getting to the point where I'm really starting to wonder if psu is worth it anymore. I think I'm coming to the realization that without Paterno the entire entity that is psu is just a hollow vacuous place run by jackals.

It's always been said that erickson was the pure academic (think tweed jacket and nerdy glasses), and as such, he hated all the attention paid to football. Although I believe erickson thought little for himself as president, perhaps his real hatred was towards Spanier. For years, erickson was #2 with Spanier firmly entrenched in the oval office. Maybe he was jealous of Spanier, a ballsy leader that he never could be.

Wendi - when did FF tell RE about his "flip" strategy and why on earth would FF tell him that? Blows my mind as it does yours that RE would know the strategy and do nothing, except if what Bob92 said is true - that RE was insanely jealous of GS and wanted him to go down.

Fraudney scribbled that down in his personal notebook - which he left behind on a conference table and it mysteriously got legs.

It is because of character assassinations like this, that CSS WILL speak publicly and fully, when the time comes. Unlike Erickson, these men actually have backbones. Some posters here like 21, who are convinced that these men will be silent forever, are dead dead wrong.

Is this a legal deposition or a Hedda Hopper column? WTF does NoRods belief that Curley was or wasn't Joe's perceived Errand Boy have to do with any legal matter. This depo just proves what everyone knew all along. NoRod was the Core BOT's errand boy..... send to placate his bosses....and to shift blame absent of facts and by the weakest of immaterial innuendo the lap dog could scratch up. What a pathetic parasite this creature NoRod is.
