Rod Erickson depo

I hope you are right Lurker.

The extreme length of time that has elapsed on these lawsuits is exactly why the public hates the justice system. Too much gamesmanship.

I fear that if Ira gets the Chair this week he will be able to use it to further draw out the entire process.

The lawyers need the time to stack up billable hours and the judges, once lawyers, are taking care of their own.....while while justice or the chance of it fades into the blur of the rear view mirror of antiquity.

Is this a legal deposition or a Hedda Hopper column? WTF does NoRods belief that Curley was or wasn't Joe's perceived Errand Boy have to do with any legal matter. This depo just proves what everyone knew all along. NoRod was the Core BOT's errand boy..... send to placate his bosses....and to shift blame absent of facts and by the weakest of immaterial innuendo the lap dog could scratch up. What a pathetic parasite this creature NoRod is.
Erickson admits he never saw the personal interaction between Joe and Curley yet for some reason he still chimed in with the "errand boy" characterization. If he felt that way without first hand knowledge then the "errand boy" theme must have been fed to him by someone else. My guess would be Suhey since he and Erickson obviously felt comfortable enough with each other to have an email dialogue. On the other hand there are many other good suspects. Surma, Frazier, Peetz, Joyner, Eckel, Masser, etc.

He is a miserable human being, though, in all honesty. He knows how he was never president material and was only going to top out as a provost, he knows how much people hate him, and his son committed suicide. Obviously he was going to take the presidency and do whatever his handlers wanted.
Look, no matter how we may feel about him, that comment is inappropriate. I'd not wish that kind on family tragedy on my worst enemy.

You have to wonder if anybody else on the BOT really wants to be chairperson at this point. There's a shitstorm coming, and you'd have to think that most of them want nothing to do with it. Perhaps instead of Ira strong-arming his way in, he's doing it because nobody else will.

The way I see it, is that Ira has always been in control anyhow, manipulating things behind the scenes. Maybe we are finally seeing that people don't want to go down with the ship, finally.

I trust you and Jmmy and Wensilver and others have downloaded and saved it for prosperity and future reference. For some reason, I'm having trouble getting in to it.
Thanks.

I can't see it. Says I need a case id. Anybody know what that is?

The links to PSU vs PMA files are temporary. I haven't timed it, but they expire by the next day. The files themselves don't disappear. Here's what you can do to get to them:

Go to the Philly Civil Docket Sheet Access:
http://fjdefile.phila.gov/efsfjd/zk...er?uid=G1eTRjrPxIolqsSYDxam&o=P6k4ITkiRxozKg8

Hit accept, then hit Display Civil Docket Report. This is what you should see.
http://fjdefile.phila.gov/efsfjd/zk...er?uid=G1eTRjrPxIolqsSYDxam&o=P6k4ITkiRxozKg8

Then enter case number 131103195 for the PSU vs PMA case.
https://fjdefile.phila.gov/efsfjd/zk_fjd_public_qry_03.zp_dktrpt_frames

Docket sheet after entering case number. This link may or may not work for you.
https://fjdefile.phila.gov/efsfjd/zk_fjd_public_qry_03.zp_dktrpt_frames?case_id=131103195

For Erickson's deposition, scroll to the 7/18/2016 entry near the bottom, and click on Exhibit R.

This link should work for a little while. Notice the "/temp/" in the url.

However, just now I discovered a new link to it. This one might last longer.

"Just Move On!" the most used first phrase out o con men and the mouths of the white collar guilty! JMO-My-Ass. What a huge boat load of jerkoffs have run this University, the town and Centre County for decades.

Yes, but what we REALLY need is to hear unbiased counterpoints from Cynthia Baldwin and Vicky Triponey.

And BTW, THIS is why the Freeh Report is garbage. Cherry-picking and quote mining. 99 people say positive things about Curley and Paterno - and 1 person with either an axe to grind or with marching orders has negative things to say - so of course which of the 100 quotes makes it into the final report???

I'm sure that at some point the following exchange occurred...
Rodney: "You know, some people even have stated on the record that Curley was merely an errand boy for Paterno."
Question: "Wait...who are these some people?"
Rodney: "Well, me for one."

THIS is the kind of circular hearsay logic that infected the Freeh Report. And when us Joe-Bots say that Freeh merely wrote what he was told to write - this right here is what we're talking about.

Couldn't agree more. When I see this crap by Erickson and see what the old guard bot has done, I'm getting to the point where I'm really starting to wonder if psu is worth it anymore. I think I'm coming to the realization that without Paterno the entire entity that is psu is just a hollow vacuous place run by jackals.

JoeBatters, these are my sentiments exactly. I realize that my past good will towards Penn State was largely initiated by the people that Joe Paterno encouraged and mentored over the years. Joe's influence for good eventually stretched far beyond the football program and was something to be truly proud of for all of us alums. The BOT trashed that good will. The BOT thought they would be able to fill the vacuum due to our loyalty to the nebulous idea of Penn State. Those alums with critical thinking skills know the real story, and they are not coming back. We are not loyal to the buildings on that campus.

I have put my time, energy, and money towards other causes and institutions of higher learning that are in my local area. I am watching the entities that I support very closely, based on my Penn State experience. I realize that an entity, and a society, that could throw away a man like Joe Paterno is capable of all kinds of mendacity.

I don't expect that I will ever return to supporting Penn State--it is too far gone to be redeemable.

It is because of character assassinations like this, that CSS WILL speak publicly and fully, when the time comes. Unlike Erickson, these men actually have backbones. Some posters here like 21, who are convinced that these men will be silent forever, are dead dead wrong.
If only 21 would be silent here forever.
