Somewhere in the Carolinas.
Allright. The seeds are drawn. The scalpers are getting desperate(just kidding. There is no inventory in the lower bowl). So who is going and who is on the fence? @82bordeaux and I will be in an all PSU Sky Loft . There is a PSWC mixer between Sessions 1&2 at McNellies. It may be sold out but that is just upstairs. So I agree . It is:

Ye
Just couldn't find a way to justify the logistical friction for Tulsa. Mrs. Whamos and I will be attempting to recreate the experience in Annapolis
Yeah.. the cost of flights combined with the experience of Oklahoma City (Tulsa may be worse ) and the fact we have some big travel plans coming up.. just couldn't justify the cost of going this year..

Dropping the kids off at school 9:00. Eat some steak and eggs. Put the phone in airplane mode. Country roads to I70 E. Peaceful drive through Kansas and down I135. Maybe hit Eisenhower library in Abilene. More likely skip it and say “next time I drive through Kansas” like every other time. Can’t wait! Love the Kansas drive!

will be there with a crew of 4. driving down from chicago on march 14.
staying with the pswc. first long drive since we were run off the road by
the biggest 5 wheeler i've ever seen on our way to outback bowl two years
ago:eek:, but that's another story😋.

I’ll likely be headed south on 169 through KS as well.

I dropped a second mortgage taking the little woman to The Phantom of the Opera in January. When I suggested Tulsa, she suggested a future second Phantom trip. When I pushed harder for Tulsa, she suggested a future second wife.

I can’t afford any of the things previously mentioned, so I will be following the tournament closely… to Xfinity and beyond.

I am ready and excited to be heading down Wednesday. Hotel is about 13 miles away from the venue. Supposedly staying where the team is. Can’t just rent a semi motorized bicycle and ride empty streets to the venue. So I’ll be there.

I'll be watching from home again this year. My Dad and I went to every NCAA tournament between 1990 - 2017 but he can't make the trip anymore. I went in 2019 by myself but it just wasn't the same. I'm sure you guys would make it fun, though. Espn+ will be my friend this time around!

...our group of 9 will be there...
...this will be my 60th NCAAs ...
...I am happy to have my son and two grandsons as part of our group...
...I will be celebrating the 70th anniversary of the 1953 Penn State team which was the first Eastern team to win the NCAA team title...

Not to take the Tulsa thread off-track (I posted this in the pinned TV thread as well):

How do I watch ALL mats for NCAAs??

I cut the TV cord recently, and stream everything on my laptop or iPad.

My go-to during football and wrestling season are YouTubeTV and BTN+.

To be able to stream all of the mats for NCAAs, will I need to have:

(1) Pirate someone's cable provider email account and password (a buddy who has DirectTV, Comcast, etc).
or
(2) Simply buy a month of ESPN+ for $9.99/mo ??

Thanks ahead of time.

To all that are traveling to Tulsa, please travel safely.

To those sitting on someone else's couch, drinking someone else's bourbon...or the host of that wonderful affair (been there -- in 2021!), please be safe as well :)

To everyone here, enjoy the wrestling! All your hard work on this forum has made you ready, as ready as you'll ever be. You are peaking at the right time. Have fun, relax, and post with good effort and energy :).

I appreciate your encouragement, but feel as a board we may have peaked too early. We all need to re-assess our goals, confer with our coaches and make sure we are primed for peak performance in Tulsa. The hated Hawks and Tigers to the west, as well as the Big Red to the north, must be squashed, like bug v windshield, so that only the Lions can be called Champions come Saturday night (or Friday afternoon, if need be).

Let no Turd go unflushed. Fight like warrior poets, boardmates! On to victory!!!

Worse yet, I fear that we are bringing an insufficient number of scoring posters to the tournament.
