Roll Call for Tulsa

Not to take the Tulsa thread off-track (I posted this in the pinned TV thread as well):

How do I watch ALL mats for NCAAs??

I cut the TV cord recently, and stream everything on my laptop or iPad.

My go-to during football and wrestling season are YouTubeTV and BTN+.

To be able to stream all of the mats for NCAAs, will I need to have:

(1) Pirate someone's cable provider email account and password (a buddy who has DirectTV, Comcast, etc).
or
(2) Simply buy a month of ESPN+ for $9.99/mo ??

Thanks ahead of time.
With ESPN+ you should be able to watch all but the finals. For the finals you will probably need to Pirate a buddy's couch and TV.
Take a case of White Claw, apparently it has become a popular substitute for a good beer.

Working on it
Any ideas for getting together just let me know. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Tulsa and it was weird…. For context, me and a friend went to buy a boat in Tulsa in the late 90’s.. we saw a strip club so we pulled in.. No other cars in parking lot. We went in, ordered a beer. No one else was in there except my buddy and the bartender. The bartender was probably mid 50”s and very homely looking, we kindly asked if there were any dancers, bartender replied “My daughter is in the back, let me go and get her…”

I will be there with a group of friends then off to the Lake of the Ozarks for a few days to do some fishing!
I live on the Big Niangua arm of the Lake of the Ozarks. Where are you planning on fishing? The water is pretty muddy right now due to the rain we’ve had. They have drawn it down about 5 feet as well.

We are staying in the sunrise beach area. Not sure how far that is from you.

Lake Quachita Arkansas- camp on one of the 200 islands. Clean lake, good fishing. Tell them Jethro sent ya.
Shouldn’t Jethro be your avatar instead of Jed?

Yeah, I guess I was thinking of those walleyes spawning on the dam about now. Seriously, those private islands are sweet. Yeah, I got the slam..

I was looking at LORA(Army rec area) to take my boat this summer. How is that part of the lake? Fishing wise that is.
Not too far from me by water (about 7 miles). Fishing would be pretty good almost year round depending on your choice of catch. It’s a great Bass, Crappie, and Catfish lake. March 15th is the opening of snagging season for Spoonbill. Not my cup of tea, but it is popular on the lake.

There is a big amateur bass tournament twice a year (April and October) that has some pretty nice payouts. The first is 4/15 - 4/16 this year. Approx $200 to enter and Pays $100K for top catch, $20K, $10K, and $5K for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively plus 45 payouts 4 times/day.

We will have to discuss further in Tulsa.

I dropped a second mortgage taking the little woman to The Phantom of the Opera in January. When I suggested Tulsa, she suggested a future second Phantom trip. When I pushed harder for Tulsa, she suggested a future second wife.

I can’t afford any of the things previously mentioned, so I will be following the tournament closely… to Xfinity and beyond.
I cannot understand how she resisted your sales pitch.

My favorite week of the year is upon us ... I pinch myself everyday for the opportunity to watch the NCAAs in person! COVID screwed up my streak of attending every year since 99 ...

Two full work days which will drag on and on and on ...

Flying in to DFW - driving to Tulsa -- found a spot on the parking app for $4 each session! 10 minute walk to the BOK!

Is there a tornado blowing in from the east hitting Tulsa Thursday? Possibly a bad joke by the looks of the weather that day. Sunny sky's inside BOK center.🤘

I hear it's a fallout shelter anyway...:)

I'm hearing that the bars in Tulsa allow smoking. Haven't had that around these parts for a while.

Will there be a “get together” of any sort? If so, any idea of where? **Praying it’s not the strip club I visited years ago.
