Rumor on TheMat of a big pick up for Cael (Kerkvliet speculation)

LOL, at about a $100 per case, I'm just happy he was willing to share with me ;)
That said, I really need to plan a trip there myself. The Treehouse phenomenon continues its dominance of top rated beers:

Interesting list - looks like a lot of science projects! I do like my stouts though and prefer over imperial stouts. Normally if ABV is double digits I may get a good glass of wine instead.

Treehouse makes world class IPA, IIPA and stouts. Rarely have had a bad beer but b prepared to wait for 3-4 hours to get beer.

you know the origins... make it a little stronger, throw a bunch more hops in it, and hope it doesn't spoil before it reaches India.

I was there Saturday 8-18 and brought a case of Julius, case of Haze, 6 Very Green and 6 Bright with Citra back to Michigan with me. Made a lot of my friends very happy.
Also had the best lobster roll of my life from the Shuck Shack Food Truck.

I need to visit my friend just outside Boston. Treehouse is right on the way. :D

Treehouse is simply amazing. As much hype as they get, the beer is even better. In addition, it no longer takes 3 to 4 hours to get beer there. Probably an hour to an hour and a half at most. Enjoy the visit, you will not be disappointed. Julius is a MUST.

Pliny the Elder... But like TriTip likely a rarity back east... Actually it's impossible to find out here but was voted best beer in America's for something like 9 years in a row.

Since we're talking beer, Mrs. Roar and I will soon get to try some of what is called the best-tasting beer in the world...at least that's the claim by the countries themselves. Pilsners and lagers, in their countries of origin, have been identified in all the reviews we've read, taste-wise, as the best there is. I'll take photos, and with tikk or hockeygod's help, will post here.

Pliny was at one time the beer to get... then Heady Topper became the IIPA to get.. both have been passed over as far as I am concerned and many better IIPAs are to be had... not that they aren't still top notch.. but they just don't stand out like they once did.. at least that's my observation as a beer junky..

I miss drinking IPAs. Ales started making me sick a few years ago. Only lagers for me now... Once upon a time, my favorite was Mad River's Steelhead. I guess it's more of an APA, but yum.

Yep, the only time wait will be over an hour is if TH releases a whale, in which case I would just stay away.
But you do have to wait twice if you want cans and then drafts. I was just there on their busiest day of the week (Saturday), and waited 30 minutes for cans and then 25 minutes for drafts.

Are you going to stop in Bamberg on your trip?
I spent a weekend there last year and it was just awesome!

Just out of curiosity, did any of you beer guys come to Stillwater in 2017? And if you did, did you try any of Iron Monk breweries offerings?

No, watched it on Flo. Oops, my bad, that didn't happen either.:(
or subscribed to Flo to watch it, and got a lot of blank screen?
I have had decent luck with them. Think a lot depends on how much bandwidth you have available.

I don't drink much, and hate to buy new things I might not like, but everyone says it is really good.

I had Flo too, my post was a small bust on them. Like you, I've had great service since.

Ok back to the topic at hand, aside from Kirk rolling around on the mat with Cael a month ago, any other sightings or stories in the news? Its a long wait until November. That said a visit to a jammed packed BJC or Rec Hall might not hinder the decision process either.

Kerk visited Iowa? Has that been reported anywhere? Just seems a bit strange as Iowa was not on his new list. Did you mean tOSU as that would make more sense.

He was down in Iowa a few weeks ago, from what I heard. He's good friends with Kennedy. I'm not worried about it, but it was a thing, from all accounts.

I heard Downey applied for a 7th year and is walking around at 250.
Whether he gets the 7th year or not, his father will drag a weed, pop a pill, snort a line and shoot a shot or two then tweet an emotional homage to his son's glorious third title and all he had to overcome.

You know, the hand he was dealt and all.

More likely he gets bigger before he gets "smaller," (cuts) my assumption is he will be at Heavy too.
