One of the truly, truly great singers in music history. Versatile, authentic, and creative. Al Jarreau, rest in peace good Sir.

One of the originators of the "California smooth pop" sound, as well as a true jazz and smooth jazz artist.

got sweeter all the time."

A string of great records, all in a row, beginning in the early 80's. Many of his earlier records were more jazz oriented, and also tremendous. The rise to the top began when he started to work with Jay Graydon, Tom Canning, and Richard Page(Mr Mister).

A great voice. His songs and singing lifted your heart.

Do yourself a favor and you tube a few.

A great. RIP

One of the best jazz singers ever in my opinion. Saw him several times in his prime in the 80's and then again a couole of years ago when his health was clearly failing. Seemed like a super great guy.

RIP Al...Look to the Rainbow!
