Is this correct?

Semis 50-7 ?
Finals 38-19 ?
Championships. 11 in 13 SEASONS?
2 4 TIME CHAMPS
ALL TIME POINTS RECORD 172.5

NOT sure about the first two

Also, largest winning team margin - an even 100 points.
That one continues to blow my mind. NCAA 1st & 2nd scoring is usually a somewhat believable basketball score. That’s how I’ve been describing it to non-fans, anyway.

So it is like a good basketball game where you add Wilt Chamberlain to one team.

Wait. Good basketball game? WTF is that?

You must have misread my message. I've been banned in GIA, but had a message deleted HERE this morning, because I pointed out a poster's inability to post factually correct information.
I noticed your post had been expunged. Maybe a mod can answer why it was removed? If we can't challenge inaccurate information regarding the wrestling team without being slapped on the wrist, how do we separate those falsehoods from the truth?

I admit that I will speculate from time-to-time, but the poster in question posted raw numbers that were pretty easily refuted by a cursory Google search.

I think it's 13. Covid year was not held. Edit, correct it's 14. First year finished 6th I believe. But for the Gable 15 in 21, I think it's 13. Not sure if Gable won it all in his first season. Might have though
The 15 in 21 includes Gable's 1st season when the Hawkeyes finished 3rd. The 11 in 14 is the appropriate comparison. The 9 in a row I believe without checking, is the record for consecutive championships as well. As circumstances sit today, Cael has a good opportunity to surpass both.

e was app 9th his first season at PSU, then rattled off 4 in a row, lost to OSU in 2015, won 2016-2019, no Tournament in 2020, lost 2021, won 2022-2024.

Total misread. My mind replaced HVI with GIA, or maybe I just never really recognized this as HVI…

Carry on, ignore my idiocy

All that success and I'm just glad he didn't ruin the sport

Can you imagine if we are at 9 going for 10 in 2026 that Cael would ever have “x” for 10 put on their uniforms? Highly doubtful. Gable, like his pint-sized protege, Lord Spencer, is secretly very arrogant.

I was there when that happened. Iowa was going for what everyone was calling the Ultimate National Championship. As the SI article explained, no college team in any sport has ever won 10 straight national titles in a row. Iowa came close that year. Penrith was leading in his finals match and tried to score more points by going for a single leg takedown. The Iowa State guy caught him in a spladle and it was over. If Penn State can win 10 straight under Cael, that will be a record that should last for a very long time.
