it's not fair that she takes Jim Ferry down with it. While I admit being a critic of Ferry at times during the season, when you step back and take a look at what he's accomplished after losing an NBA player and Mike Watkins and stepping into the head coaching position with little time to prepare, he's accomplished a monumental task. the team has stayed focused and competitive in almost all games due to his leadership. He's straight forward and has his priorities in the right order. The team doesn't quit on him and supports him even though Sandy could never give them a straightforward answer as to why Chambers was asked to leave! Any reason she cannot raise money, people don't trust her. ask the people around campus and if they are honest they will tell you!

so, the honorable thing to do would be to give Jim Ferry a chance to finish what he started. Maybe a 3-4 year contract with a small buyout and highly incentivized. the goal would be to get the program into the middle tier of the B1G in the short-term and build from there.

Jim's a class act and good coach. Based on what he's done this year, he should have a head coaching position somewhere next season and just maybe Penn State should be at the top of his offer list! But Jim, if you don't come back, you can leave with your head held high knowing in your heart that you left it all on the court and Penn State's Men's Basketball in a better place! Just like Bill O'Brien did for football a few years back!
